Mrs. Cathy Garland

Mrs. Garland is our school librarian. She has been a school librarian for over 25 years and has worked with grades K3-12. Prior to becoming a school librarian, she taught high school English.

Mrs. Garland desires that the Southside School Media center be a warm environment where all school members feel welcome and where classes, small groups, and individuals regularly visit to have their curricular and informational needs met.

At Southside, we have numerous student technological resources, a well-trained staff to support student learning, opportunities for collaborative projects & activities, and a plethora of reading materials to meet students' various interests.
